In efforts to combat the sale of counterfeit fertilizers and pesticides, amendments will be made to the Agriculture Pesticide Act and Fertilizer Control Act. The meeting also reviewed the restructuring of the Punjab Seed Corporation and Punjab Agricultural Research Board. Plans were made to equip the Agriculture Extension Wing with modern technology and recruit 500 agricultural graduates.


Farmers are set to receive 24,800 modern agricultural equipment over two years, with an estimated cost of Rs 7 billion. Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and other officials were present at the meeting to deliberate on these significant agricultural reforms.
