Bahimat Buzurg Program – The government of Punjab has started a new program called Ehsaas Bahimat Buzurg Program  2024-25 from 8th October 2021. This program aims to provide support to senior citizens by giving them a monthly Social Pension of Rs. 2,000. The program is specifically for elderly individuals who have a poverty score below 20. Initially, Rs. 2 billion has been allocated for this program, which is led by the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA).

It will benefit 125,000 people in Punjab who are not receiving any other social assistance. The program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Punjab, Usman Buzdar, and the initial amount of Rs. 2 billion will be distributed to 150,000 senior citizens through Bahimat Buzurg Program Cards.
