Education is not just a privilege but a fundamental right for every individual. However, in many cases, financial constraints hinder access to quality education, particularly for low-income families. In response to this pressing issue, the government has introduced the Ehsaas Waseela-e-Taleem scholarship program aimed at supporting the education of children belonging to active Benazir Kafalat beneficiaries. Initially launched in five districts by the government of Punjab in 2024, the Waseela-e-Taleem program represents a transformative initiative in the realm of education. It functions as a conditional cash transfer program, incentivizing the enrollment of children from beneficiary families in schools.
