In the Budget speech, the government introduced Pakistan’s largest Kissan Friendly Package, allocating over 75 billion PKR for the Green Tractor Scheme. This initiative is set to empower half a million farmers in Punjab by providing them with subsidized tractors.

Chief Minister Solarization of Agriculture

Alongside the Green Tractor Scheme, the Punjab Chief Minister announced the Solarization of Agriculture, part of a historic package for farmers that includes:

  • Establishing the Punjab Kisan Bank to offer loans on favorable terms.
  • Launching an Oil Seed Promotion Program to encourage the cultivation of oilseeds.

The Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2024 offers:

  • A 70% subsidy for small HP (horsepower) tractors.
