What to Expect as a TAF Fellow
Placement and Responsibilities
As a TAF Fellow, you will be placed in one of eight districts in Madhya Pradesh: Barwani, Betul, Chhindwara, Damoh, Gwalior, Khargone, Morena, and Seoni. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and Implementation: You will plan and execute TAF’s interventions at the block and sector levels.
- Government Liaison: You will liaise with government officials and interact with frontline healthcare workers and the communities they serve.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: You will support the monitoring and evaluation of TAF’s fieldwork, capturing the impact of program interventions.

Niharika’s Experience
Niharika Suresh joined The Antara Foundation in August 2022 and works in Bhimpur block, Betul district. She collaborates with Shyam Bahadur, the Program Officer, to oversee the implementation of TAF interventions. Niharika has designed a home-delivery framework to understand why communities in Bhimpur block avoid institutional care during delivery. She has identified four major factors: accessibility, affordability, quality of services, and community beliefs and practices. Niharika is currently exploring how these factors correlate and influence community preferences.
