New Registration for PM Laptop Scheme

The Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced the initiation of the PM Laptop Scheme for the upcoming quarter. This initiative is geared towards providing free laptops to promising students in universities and colleges nationwide. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is set to unveil the registration portal shortly, enabling students to enroll in the program.

Objectives of the PM Laptop Scheme

The primary objectives of this scheme are to:

  • Enhance the quality of science and technology education, particularly in computer studies.
  • Facilitate collaboration between educational institutions and businesses.
  • Establish smart schools to improve learning and connectivity.
  • Stimulate productivity and innovation within the manufacturing sector.
  • Utilize IT resources effectively to support education.
  • Enhance efficiency through improved IT infrastructure.

Prime Minister’s Laptop Program Registration Form

Registration for the upcoming quarter of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme 2024 will commence soon. Interested students are required to complete the registration process via the HEC portal ( It’s important to note that offline applications will not be entertained, and laptops will only be allocated to students who register online.

Eligibility Criteria For Students In Laptops

To qualify for the laptop scheme, students must fulfill certain eligibility criteria:

  • Enrollment in public sector universities or degree-granting institutions, including officially recognized sub-campuses, is mandatory.
  • Students enrolled in private sector higher education institutions are not eligible.
  • Those with degrees from government and postgraduate college-affiliated colleges are also ineligible.
  • Applicants who have previously received laptops through the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme are not eligible for reapplication.
  • Foreign nationals, except those from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as well as students with dual citizenship, are not eligible.
  • Only online registrations will be accepted, with other application methods being disregarded.
  • Students must provide substantial evidence of their academic prowess.

Shahbaz Sharif Laptop Scheme New Update

Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to distributing laptops to talented students nationwide through the Shahbaz Sharif laptop initiative. The aim is to enhance academic capabilities and provide online employment opportunities to students in higher education institutions, including those in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Students will soon have the opportunity to register for this program and reap the benefits of the laptops.
