Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card:
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif while starting the registration process for Kisan Card. She added,”Under the project, agricultural loans worth Rs 300 billion will be given to farmers annually. The Chief Minister said,”5 lakh farmers in Punjab, owning up to 12.5 acres of agricultural land, will be able to benefit from g this project.” She added,”In order to apply for the Card, Land must be registered in the Land Record Center, and the mobile SIM must be registered against the applicant’s own ID card number. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,”Every farmer will be able to get an easy loan of up to Rs 1.5 lakh for one crop season using Kisan Card.” She added, Farmers will be able to buy fertilisers, seeds and other agricultural inputs with the card. The Chief Minister said,”Identity card of the farmer will be verified by NADRA, and it will be ensured that the applicant is not a defaulter of any financial institution. She added,”The farmer will return the easy instalments of interest-free loan within 6 months. She highlighted,”After paying off the loan, the farmer will be eligible to get a loan again for the next crop.

Eligibility Criteria:
Under the Kisan Card project, agricultural loans worth Rs 300 billion will be given to the farmers annually. About 0.5 million farmers in Punjab, owning up to 12.5 acres of agriculture land, will be able to benefit from this initiative, the CM said, adding: “In order to apply for the card, Land must be registered in Land Record Center and the mobile SIM must be registered against the applicant’s own ID card number.

Easy Loan Given To Farmer:
The CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, “Every farmer will be able to get an easy loan of up to Rs 150,000 for one crop season using Kisan Card while the farmers will be able to buy fertilizers, seeds and other agricultural inputs through this card.

This card has been launched by the Punjab government for various purposes, which are as follows:

150000 Subsidy Program:
Any farmer belonging to Punjab can benefit from getting this card. The increasing inflation within the country has increased the difficulties for the farmers. A Kisan Card has been issued by the first woman Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sahib, in view of the difficulties faced by the farmers. The Punjab government will provide a subsidy of 150 billion rupees to poor farmers with the help of this card. Poor farmers belonging to Punjab can get a loan of up to Rs 30,000 per acre of land. This loan will be provided to the farmers on easy terms so that they can continue their farming. Further, on behalf of Maryam Nawaz, it has also been decided to build a model agriculture center in collaboration with the private sector across Punjab. 24,800 of the of the latest agricultural implements will also be provided to the farmers at a cost of seven billion rupees.

In a meeting held on Friday by Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, approval was given to start the Kisan Card project. The objective of launching this project is to improve the socio-economic condition of the farmers. Through this project, 5 lakh small and big farmers in Punjab will be able to get loans on easy terms. Apart from this, various types of subsidies will be provided to the farmers through this card so that they can increase their production. With the increase in production, a clear development will be seen in the agricultural sector.
