Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card:
Punjab Cabinet which met here Tuesday with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in the chair, accorded in-principle approval for ‘Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card’ and also agreed to allocate Rs10 billion seed money to the Central Business District Authority (CBDA) for the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif IT City in Lahore. The Punjab government is all set to launch Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card to provide subsidized farm inputs to the farmers in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz Kisan Card:
While chairing a special meeting on agricultural reforms for the second consecutive day on Friday, the CM said Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Kisan Card project in Punjab is the biggest in the history of Pakistan under which agricultural loans worth Rs 150 billion will be provided to 0.5 million small farmers on easy terms. Farmers will be given an agricultural loan of Rs 30,000 per acre for the purchase of best quality seeds, fertilizers and pesticides.

Agriculture Loan:
Maryam Nawaz said Various types of other subsidies will also be provided to the farmers through the Kisan Card. Model Agriculture Centers (MAC) will be established across Punjab in collaboration with the private sector. These model agriculture centres will have modern agricultural machinery, training, pesticide seeds and demonstration plots.

Punjab Cabinet Kisan Card:
The fundamental approval for the implementation of the Kisan Card by Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was granted, and an assessment was made to provide direct cash subsidy to small wheat growers. Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated, “All resources of Punjab are available for the farmers. We cannot allow the exploitation of farmers by middlemen. It is my intention to ensure affordable bread for the people.
