Expressing her commitment, the Chief Minister stated, “Approximately 30,000 special individuals will receive a monthly stipend of Rs7,500 for three years.” This increase reflects the government’s dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable members of society.
Awareness Campaign for Wheelchair Provision
In addition to the stipend increase, emphasis was placed on launching an awareness campaign for wheelchair provision. Needy individuals can register for wheelchairs by contacting the helpline of the Chief Minister’s Office at 0800-02345. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and mobility for those in need.

Expanded Assistance in Second Phase
Looking ahead, the Chief Minister outlined plans to provide 14 types of assistive devices to special persons in the second phase. These devices, including wheelchairs, hearing aids, tricycles, and Braille, aim to empower individuals with disabilities and facilitate their daily lives.

Highlighting the holistic approach, the Chief Minister emphasized the provision of subsidized public transport facilities and loans to special persons in a phased manner. These measures seek to address various aspects of support to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

The meeting was attended by Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and MPA Sania Ashiq.
