Assalamu Alaikum friends! The wait is finally over. The Punjab Government has announced the “Sawari Khud Mukhtar” program, a self-reliant motorcycle initiative for students. This scheme will distribute 20,000 bikes, including both petrol and electric bikes, to students. The application deadline has also been announced, and I will explain the application process in this video. This educational initiative by the Punjab Government aims to provide 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 electric bikes to eligible students. Out of these, 11,676 bikes are allocated for male students, and 7,324 for female students. Additionally, 700 electric bikes are designated for male students and 300 for female students. The first phase of this program is open for students enrolled in degree colleges and universities in five major cities: Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. The Punjab Government is offering a subsidy of 1 billion rupees for this program.

Eligibility and Application Process

The motorcycles will not be provided for free but will be financed interest-free. The minimum monthly installment will be approximately 400 rupees. To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, regular students at degree colleges or universities, and have a valid learner’s permit or driving license. Private college students can also apply, provided their institutions are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). If the number of applicants exceeds the allocated quota, the Punjab Government and the Bank of Punjab will conduct an e-balloting process. Currently, only 233 applications have been submitted, with 195 for petrol bikes and 38 for electric bikes. To apply, visit the website bikes.in and click on the application button. If you already have an account, log in with your national ID card number and password. If not, click on the register button and fill in the required details, including your full name, email address, national ID card number, gender, and a strong password. After registration, log in and follow the five-step application process. This involves providing applicant details, filling out the necessary forms, and ensuring all criteria are met. Selecting the Type of Bike

To begin with, you need to provide all necessary details. You have two options: applying for a petrol bike or an electric bike. Select one by clicking on the respective option. Once selected, you will see the available bikes in that category. For instance, if you choose petrol bikes, you’ll see various models from different manufacturers. Filling Out Personal Information

Next, you need to enter your personal information. Start with the expiration date of your identity card by selecting the month, day, and year. Your gender will already be selected, but you need to input your date of birth as it appears on your ID card. Also, fill in your marital status and the number of children if applicable. Attach a recent photograph by clicking the attach button and uploading your picture. Similarly, upload the front and back images of your ID card. After this, fill in details about your parents, such as your father’s name and mother’s name. Once all the personal details are complete, move on to the contact information section. Providing Contact and Address Details

In the contact information section, enter your mobile number, province, and the district of your domicile. Upload a picture of your domicile certificate. Enter your current address as listed on your ID card, including city, tehsil, and district. If your permanent address is the same as your current address, you can select the option indicating so. Then, specify where you want the bike delivered, whether to an authorized dealer near you or to your temporary address. Ensure all these details are correct before moving on to the guarantor information section.

Guarantor and Financial Information

You need to provide detailed information about your guarantor. This includes the guarantor’s full name, relationship with you, ID card number, issuance and expiration dates of the ID card, and their qualification. Upload the front and back images of their ID card as well as a utility bill (such as an electricity bill). Additionally, provide the guarantor’s email address, phone number, number of dependents, and address. Specify the guarantor’s income source and whether their residence is owned or rented. If the guarantor has multiple sources of income, list them all. Indicate whether the guarantor has an account with the Bank of Punjab and if they are politically exposed. Finally, upload a cash voucher or bank statement and, if the guarantor is a salaried person, their salary slip.

Final Steps and Submission

In the final step, you will need to provide information about your educational background, including the names of your university or college and whether it is private or government. Ensure that the degree is approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Upload your student card and provide references, such as a relative. Complete the declaration stating that all information provided is accurate, sign it, and submit the application. This process is part of a scheme offering 20,000 bikes to students on an interest-free basis. Follow these steps carefully to apply and take advantage of this opportunity before the deadline.
